Diversity wins
Often in our conversations we receive questions around diversity. One that we would certainly like to answer is, "Why should a company or an executive pay attention to diversity?". Of course, from Clusity we have a slightly subjective opinion on this :DDD. Therefore, we would like to refer in this blog to a study by Mc Kinsey from 2020 "Diversity Wins: how inclusion matters". You can download the full report further down.
The business case for inclusion and diversity (I&D) is stronger than ever. Companies with above-average diversity are more likely to outperform competitors in terms of profitability, while penalties are increasingly severe for companies that lack diversity.
This study shows that: "A third of the companies we tracked - our diversity winners - made real progress on diversity in their leader team. But most of the companies we analyzed made little or no progress, and in some, diversity has actually gone backwards.".
An innovative, modern successful manager cannot look around the issue of diversity. Do you want your sales to be based on innovative products? And do you want to work for a profitable company?
Then it's best to take into account above-average diversity on your team. Read more in Mc Kinsey's study.
