Who is Geertrui Mieke De Ketelaere?
Geertrui Mieke De Ketelaere is Program Director AI at imec. She has a master's degree in civil and industrial engineering and during her studies specialised in robotics and artificial intelligence. The past 25 years she has worked for various multinationals on all aspects of data and analytics (IBM, Microsoft, SAP, SAS, etc). At imec she is responsible for the development of the AI strategy and the roll-out. With her insight into the new digital data flows and her knowledge of AI technologies, Mieke De Ketelaere is asked by various business schools as a guest speaker on digitalisation. In her public presentations, Mieke focuses on demystifying the hype around AI and addresses non-technical topics such as data privacy. In November 2020, she released her latest book: Man versus Machine. Meanwhile, it has been translated into English and French.
