👩🏾👱🏼 Bring a friend!
As a (junior) developer you have to constantly learn. As soon as you have learned one framework or tool, there seems to be something new again. How good does your knowledge have to be to say 'I can do this' or when do you let the so-called 'imposter syndrome' stop you? Get inspired by 2 fascinating Tech Talks by women.code(be) followed by a panel discussion with other developer colleagues.
The event will be held in English. This evening is organised together with women.code(be), the community for women who code across Belgium!
As a developer, you are constantly being confronted with a lot of new things. Sometimes it can even be a bit overwhelming. So how do you deal with it? When do you master a framework, programming language or program enough to talk about it? In 2 tech talks and a panel discussion with 3 female developers of Cronos we hear how they experience this. Who lets the feeling of not yet having mastered something stop them? Will that feeling ever end? Do fellow developers have tips and tricks for this? Is this something typical for female developers or do we also see it with our male colleagues?
By starting this conversation, we hope to inspire and empower developers to feel more confident about their knowledge and skills. You are certainly not an outsider if you sometimes put yourself aside because you think someone else would know better!

Who are women.code(be)?
Women.code(be) is a community for women in Belgium who code and who are looking to meet others with the same interest in coding. Every year they organise four editions of women-only TechTalks events where they invite guest speakers, each time in a different city. But they also do casual nights where we get together in a bar/bistro for a drink and small gatherings like game nights and/or dinner nights. They want to create a safe space where female coders can meet their peers. Women.code(be) focuses on connecting women who code by sharing stories, knowledge and interests. With this community they hope to inspire and empower other women. You can find more information on their website.
