The Ada Talks' is an event organised by and for women in TECH. The organisers, Nele Van Beveren, Valerie Taerwe and Dewi Van De Vyver, want to establish real contacts between different women (and men) in the IT world.

The goal?

We put strong women in the spotlight and create an opportunity for women to really get to know each other. That is why we have chosen a small-scale event. With four strong stories, we take on the role of moderator and give direction to the topics and conversations, which you can continue afterwards.

What?

Every three months, "The ADA talks" are organised. This time in cooperation with Clusity. Here you can get inspiration, meet new people and above all you get the chance to share your own experience and learn from others. It is the perfect opportunity to broaden your horizon and to build a useful network in which you discover and learn how to help each other.

Format?

16 participants & 4 speakers (20 in total)

Timing: 2 hours from 19:00 to 21:30

Agenda:

  • 19:00 reception

  • 19:15 networking before the lecture

  • 19:45 presentations - 4 speakers of 15min (TedX-style)

  • 20:45 Round tables - each speaker gets a table where 4 participants are seated. The tables are changed every 15 minutes.

Inspiration?

Ada Lovelace is known for her description of the "Analytical Machine", Charles Babbage's early general-purpose mechanical machine. She is now regarded as the designer of the first computer programme, because she wrote programmes to manipulate symbols according to fixed rules on a machine that Babbage had yet to design.

A very intriguing role model who is now the inspiration for these lectures.

Register for this unique experience and meet an inspiring network!
