June 1 is not only Clusity's birthday, but also the start of Pride Month. In tech, of course, there are many people from the LGBTQIA+ community, and we love to celebrate! On this festive evening we will bring together LGBTQIA+ people, allies & interested people with a super interesting program. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

To kick off the evening, we begin with an artistic contribution, from none other than Maravilha!

"Maravilha Munto is a spoken word artist who considers poetry as her diary. She shares her love and passion for words through rhythmic poetry on stage. Themes like female empowerment, struggling with self-image, emotions, and inner peace often take center stage in her texts.

Recently she published her first poetry-bundle 'The shadow of my complexion'. In a society that spins around different themes, Maravilha Munto takes us in her poetry bundle through her own journey of dealing with colorism, self-love, trauma, encountering yourself (or own shadow), (re)finding yourself, self-hatred, female empowerment and the process toward self acceptance."

Then we do a panel where we share experiences, and hear the views of some top speakers. For example, we have tech HR specialist and entrepreneur Izzy Claerhout, Emmanuelle Verhagen who is also an entrepreneur, with expertise in change, leadership, sustainability and inclusion; and finally, Lissah Blommaert also joins the panel, who as a true techie and Top 5 ICT lady of the year knows the ins and outs of the tech consultant life.

Who is Izzy Claerhout (she/her)?

"Techie gone recruiter, recruiter gone entrepreneur. Meet Izzy! She often introduces herself as "Belgium's laziest recruiter" because she has built a robot that does the recruiting for her. Her mission is to let people experience fulfillment in their work by creating efficient and authentic recruitment processes that fit the company culture. And she does that with her company Recruitment Architects. For Izzy, the strongest brand is the most authentic brand.

If she were an animal, her colleagues would describe her as a chameleon - always adapting to her surroundings.

Who is Emmanuelle Verhagen (e/ir)?

Emmanuelle is an entrepreneur in the sustainability, inclusion and leadership sphere. With a ton of executive experience both in an international, publicly listed context where she helped shape a merger, as well as in the SME sphere, she is now building a new consultancy initiative: DUIN.partners through which she ensures that sustainability initiatives actually succeed. After all, recent research has shown that barely 2% of change processes related to sustainability achieve their expected return. The biggest stumbling block appears to be the organizational culture and leadership approach. With our proprietary, proven, and people-focused methodology, DUIN.partners ensure that the expected results of our clients' sustainability investments are assured.

In addition, Emmanuelle is also active as a theater producer, defender of LGBTQI+ human rights and not too shy to occasionally complete a small triathlon.

Who is Lissah Blommaert (she/her)?

Lissah is Senior Technical Consultant SAP CX, delaware. Graduating with a Master of Science in electronics and ICT from KU Leuven already made Lissah Blommaert somewhat unique, as she was the only woman in her class. Since then, she has been nonstop encouraging everyone to dive into IT. It means that in addition to her expertise in SAP, she also invests part of her time in training colleagues, both as a mentor (offering career advice) and as a buddy (guiding starters). Connecting people is what matters to Lissah. Over the past six years, she has worked for many different organizations and with many different people.
As a (lesbian) woman, she is often a minority, whether in her studies, at work or with clients. Lissah wants to be a role model, and in doing so, also actively provide opportunities for queer people and others who belong to minority groups.
